JEFFREY LEWIS - Of Counsel -

Jeffrey Lewis joined Pumilia Patel & Adamec LLP as of counsel in
2006. Mr. Lewis has been practicing law in Southern California
for over a decade. Mr. Lewis handles civil and criminal
appellate proceedings as well as select business litigation matters
in courts throughout Southern California.
Mr. Lewis’ past practice has included representation of hospitals,
hotels, real estate developers, lending institutions, manufacturers,
general contractors and other businesses in complex litigation, both
at the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Lewis’ representative defense victories include an arbitration
award on behalf of sellers of manufacturing businesses sued for
fraud and breach of contract; summary judgment on behalf of a hotel
operator sued for specific performance of a real property purchase
agreement; a judgment on behalf of an entertainment/media industry
client sued for conversion and unfair competition. Mr. Lewis’
representative plaintiff victories include a unanimous jury award
against a corporate president for misuse of corporate funds; summary
judgment in a malicious prosecution action against a former opposing
attorney and his clients; and a bench judgment, including treble
damages, in favor of a landowner for a neighbor’s trespass.
Mr. Lewis serves his community as a member of the Rancho Palos
Verdes Planning Commission and as an arbitrator for the Orange
County Bar Association’s Mandatory Fee Dispute Program.
Mr. Lewis obtained his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1996 where he
served as a Note and Comment Editor on the International and
Comparative Law Review and obtained a B.A. in Business Economics
from U.C. Santa Barbara in 1992.
Mr. Lewis has three published appellate decisions:
O'Grady v. Superior Court, 139 Cal. App. 4th 1423 (2006),
Videotape Plus, Inc. v. Lyons, 89 Cal. App. 4th 156 (2001)
and Mesa Forest Products v. St. Paul Mercury Ins., 73 Cal. App. 4th 324 (1999).
Mr. Lewis also authored the following three articles:
